The Richland Hospital and Clinics is taking significant steps to prioritize women's breast health during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This October, The Richland Hospital and Clinics is taking significant steps to prioritize women's breast health during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As part of their annual "Who Is Your Pink For? Get Screened. For you. For them." campaign, the healthcare provider will offer accessible walk-in screening mammograms every Thursday throughout the month from 10 AM to 6 PM.
The initiative is designed to remove barriers to routine health checks. Women aged 40 and older who are at least 12 months past their previous screening are eligible to participate without needing an advance appointment or preauthorization. Participants are simply asked to present their insurance card and the name of their primary care provider.
Early detection remains critical in successfully combating breast cancer. At the heart of this local effort is Marsha Jones, Radiologic Technologist, who has served patients at The Richland Hospital and Clinics for four decades. Throughout her career, Jones has observed major advancements in imaging technology, guiding patients through the transition from traditional film to modern 3D mammography while providing compassionate, personalized care.
Todd Coppernoll oversees local news for WRCO and WRCE radio in Richland Center. Having served Richland Center as Mayor for three terms, Todd brings a unique perspective, and a familiar voice to the news. The focus is local, and so is the reporter.
