The DWD Division of Vocational Rehabilitation has honored eight businesses across the state
In recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development’s (DWD) Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) has honored eight businesses across the state for their commitment to inclusive hiring practices and providing employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
The eight businesses honored this year are Doggie Business, LLC in Holmen; Dynatect Manufacturing, Inc. in New Berlin; Festival Foods in De Pere; Fresh Thyme Market in Milwaukee; Great Harvest Bakery Café in Janesville; Kenosha Cemetery Association (Greenridge Cemetery) in Kenosha; Valley Fudge & Candy in Coon Valley; and West Bend Sausage Plus in West Bend.
Observed every October, NDEAM emphasizes the valuable contributions of workers with disabilities and underscores the necessity of workplace inclusion. DVR collaborates with employers statewide to connect individuals with meaningful careers while addressing key workforce needs. Employers interested in inclusive hiring resources can reach out to DVR’s Business Services team or visit the DWD website to view past award recipients.
