Platteville swept River Valley on the last night of the SWC volleyball season. The scores were 25-19, 26-24, and 25-19. The Hillmen finished with 10 wins without a loss and are now 28-3 on the season. River Valley was trying to force a tie and a co-conference championship but fell to 8-2 and 27-6 for the campaign.

The Blackhawks had Platteville on the ropes in the second set when they went up 18-8, before the Hillmen scored 10 in a row and got back in the game. They survived to win 26-24. That was as close as any conference team was to winning a set against the Hillmen this season. They finished with 30 set wins without a loss.

Senior Ella Myers finished with 17 kills for River Valley. The Blackhawks will now prepare for the division 3 sectional in the upcoming WIAA post season where they will be a number one overall seed. Platteville is a number 2 seed in a division 2 sectional which starts next week.

Platteville swept the JV match last night in the early contest played at River Valley high school gymnasium.
