Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) have officially launched Manufacturing Month by awarding $6.6 million in WisTRAIN grants to 84 employers across the state. This initiative aims to equip over 3,800 Wisconsin workers with critical skills in advanced manufacturing and artificial intelligence.
The funding will support diverse projects spanning multiple sectors, from food production and precision machining to construction and marine engineering. By helping local businesses integrate cutting-edge technologies, digital automation, and modern software solutions, the program ensures Wisconsin’s workforce remains competitive in a rapidly evolving economy.
