MyVote.wi.gov will be temporarily offline for scheduled routine maintenance and security updates
The MyVote Wisconsin website (MyVote.wi.gov) will be temporarily offline for scheduled routine maintenance and security updates starting at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026. The outage is expected to last until 10:00 p.m. that evening.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) has notified local clerks regarding the brief service disruption. Officials noted that rapidly evolving security requirements and emerging risks necessitate more frequent system updates, even as election dates approach.
During the maintenance window, visitors to the site will be greeted with a notification regarding the temporary outage. Voters requiring immediate assistance during this time may contact their municipal clerk or the Wisconsin Elections Commission HelpDesk.
No visible functional changes will be present once the website comes back online. Wisconsin voters can continue to rely on MyVote to register online, track their registration status, request absentee ballots, view sample ballots, look up polling places, and obtain contact details for local election officials.
