Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, a potential 2028 presidential candidate, is coming to Wisconsin to campaign with Democratic nominee David Crowley later this week.
With just four weeks to go until Election Day, expect to see more prominent Democrats campaign with the Milwaukee County Executive.
Moore is just the third Black person ever elected governor of any U.S. state, which is still the total number of Black governors ever, as of 2026. This election cycle, Crowley is one of eight Black major party nominees seeking a governor’s office.
Moore remains a potentially intriguing presidential candidate. He is a war veteran that served in Afghanistan and has led the state while its biggest city, Baltimore, has made significant strides on the public safety front.
The 47-year-old is amid a reelection campaign in which he is leading by a 2-1 margin in the polls. He wouldn’t commit to serving a full four-year term with many believing he has his eyes set on the White House.
A few events are planned on Oct. 9 with Moore and Crowley. To attend an event you must register. Events are being held in Racine, Kenosha, Beloit and Milwaukee.
