
The Friendship Quilters Guild of the greater Richland Center area will be hosting their annual Quilt Show on Saturday (October 3) from 10:00 to 4:00 and Sunday (October 4) from 10:00 to 3:00 at the Schmitt Woodland Hills, in Richland Center. The event will be held in the second floor activities room. Quilts and quilted items will be displayed by Friendship Quilter Guild members. Quilt Guild member, Marcia Wachuta of Boscobel will be the featured quilter. Marcia has been making quilts since 1981 and she started long arm quilting in 2003 as a business. She will display quilts, quilted items, fabric crocheted baskets, and several unique embroideries. In addition to quilts on display, there will be a wonderful presentation of “Stories of Quilts”, called a Bed Turning on Saturday at 11:00 and 2:00. There will also be another Bed Turning presentation on Sunday and 2:00. During each presentation each quilt is held up, and a story is read about it. The Friendship Quilters Guild Members will have quilted items available for purchase during the quilt show. Admission is free and everyone is invited to attend.

Tim Thiede is a Muscoda native who earned a degree in Radio/TV/Film from UW-Oshkosh where he decided to return to school as a non-traditional student. Since graduating in 2013 Tim has been working in radio previously in Reedsburg before being hired at WRCO in 2021. Besides being an on-air personality Tim also assists in the news department, engineers sports broadcasts and helps out wherever needed.

Adam Hess has been involved in radio broadcasting since 1990, with many of those years spent on the air at WRCO FM in Richland Center. Currently, Adam hosts the Weekend Wake-up and Prime Mover Saturdays on WRCO FM, jumps in and helps out with news duties, handles Social Media duties for WRCO and WRCE, and is the Director of Technology at a Southwest Wisconsin School District.
