Racine Unified fills vacancy with City Council member Marlo Harmon

RACINE, Wis (WRJN) - The Racine Unified School District board has filled its vacant seat by appointing Racine City Council member Marlo Harmon.
Board members chose Harmon over Union Grove High School social worker Carolyn Heifner in a 4-3 vote Monday night.
The vacancy opened after former board member Scott Coey moved outside the school district, making him ineligible to remain on the board.
Harmon had previously sought a seat on the board during the April election but lost to Coey.
