The annual Autumn Fest celebration will be held this weekend (August 28 through August 30) in Blue River. The event will get under way Friday evening. Justin Dengenhardt is an organizer of Autumn Fest.
The Fast Pitch Tournament will be held all weekend. On Saturday Friends of Blue River will sponsor two presentations at the Community Building starting at 10:00. At 11:00 the 3rd Annual Chiasson {chase-on} Smoke Competition will get underway. Miranda and Jason from Chiasson Smoke talk about the competition.
Also on Saturday there will be a Bean Bag Tourney at 1:00, a Blacktop Tractor Pull at 2:00, a Scavenger Hunt for all ages at 5:00 and High Mileage will start performing at 8:00. Sunday will feature a full slate of events. Justin Degenhardt has a rundown of the schedule.
Following Sunday’s parade there will a Sawdust Money Hunt, a Kiddie Tractor Pull and Kid’s Water Fights. The event will be capped off with music performed by the Jay R Brink Duo from 3:00 to 6:00. There will be food and beverages all weekend, please no carry-ins. Enjoy the weekend by attending Autumn Fest this Friday through Sunday in Blue River. All proceeds from the event will go to Blue River Fire and Rescue Squad.
Tim Thiede is a Muscoda native who earned a degree in Radio/TV/Film from UW-Oshkosh where he decided to return to school as a non-traditional student. Since graduating in 2013 Tim has been working in radio previously in Reedsburg before being hired at WRCO in 2021. Besides being an on-air personality Tim also assists in the news department, engineers sports broadcasts and helps out wherever needed.
Adam Hess has been involved in radio broadcasting since 1990, with many of those years spent on the air at WRCO FM in Richland Center. Currently, Adam hosts the Weekend Wake-up and Prime Mover Saturdays on WRCO FM, jumps in and helps out with news duties, handles Social Media duties for WRCO and WRCE, and is the Director of Technology at a Southwest Wisconsin School District.
