Hank’s 2:33 A.M. Hillbilly Kitchen
“The Double-Deckered Meatball Missile”
It’s 2:33 in the morning.
The raccoons are holdin’ a neighborhood watch meeting in your garbage can. Your smoke detector is nervous… and your stomach just filed a formal complaint.
Time to build a sandwich so glorious it’ll make the pizza delivery guy question his career.
Grab This Stuff:
Frozen meatballs
Hot dog buns
Pizza sauce
Pepperoni
A whole bunch of mozzarella cheese
ButterGarlic powder
Parsley flakes (optional… this ain’t the Food Network)
Hank’s Instructions:
First, dump them frozen meatballs in the air fryer. Let ’em cook until they’re browned up prettier than a new pickup sittin’ outside the feed store.
While they’re cookin’, crack open them hot dog buns and lay pepperoni slices down in the bottom like you’re buildin’ a mattress for meatballs.
Now spoon some pizza sauce over the pepperoni and throw on a layer of mozzarella. Don’t measure it. The Good Lord invented eyeballs for a reason.
Once the meatballs are done, pile four of ’em into each bun. If one escapes and rolls under the refrigerator… congratulations, you’ve just planted next week’s supper.
Melt some butter and stir in garlic powder and parsley. Brush that buttery goodness all over the buns until they shine brighter than Uncle Leroy’s forehead at the county fair.
Now here’s where common sense leaves the building…Add MORE pizza sauce over the meatballs. Then MORE mozzarella. Then MORE pepperoni.
Because if one layer is good… three layers is called hillbilly engineering.
Slide everything back into the air fryer until the cheese bubbles like Yellowstone and the buns get toasted just enough to leave crumbs in your recliner for the next six months.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve with potato chips, ranch dressing, an ice-cold pop… and a stack of napkins thick enough to stop a paper cut from a chainsaw.
Hank’s Words of Wisdom:
If you can still see the bread when you’re done… you didn’t use enough cheese.
Hank’s Official Rating:
Five out of five overworked air fryers.
Remember… at 2:33 in the morning, calories are asleep… and they don’t start countin’ until sunrise!
