The Cazenovia Reds lost 4-3 to visiting Wisconsin Dells on Sunday in Home Talent baseball.
It was a quick moving well played game. The Rivermen went ahead in the 5th inning for the first time and held off any Reds comeback attempts.
Isaac Jennings started the game and worked 8 innings for Cazenovia before Aaron Huebsch came on in relief and worked a perfect 9th inning. Jennings scattered 10 hits while suffering the loss. Highlights for the Reds included a solo home run by Isaac Jennings in the 2nd and a solo shot by Hewston Boland in the 5th inning.
That 2nd home run turned out to be the last hit by Cazenovia in the game.Brendon Fitzpatrick was the winning pitcher as he threw the first 6 innings, while Carter Severson worked in relief for the final 3 innings.
Talan Pichler had a rbi double, and Hudson Turner slapped an rbi triple to lead the Rivermen. They are now 6-4 in Sunday league action. They will play Black Earth on Friday.
Following the 4-3 loss, Cazenovia will prepare for a night game Friday night at home against Reedsburg.
