The Richland County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to convene at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, at the County Boardroom. The upcoming session will address a variety of county operations, ranging from long-term capital planning to administrative appointments and infrastructure maintenance.
A central focus of the meeting is the review and potential approval of the 2027 Capital Improvement Plan. This plan serves as a roadmap for the county’s future investment priorities. Administratively, the Board will consider a resolution to designate the County Highway Commissioner to serve as the backup County Administrator, a move intended to ensure continuity of leadership when necessary.
The Board is set to vote on a proposal to merge the Children’s Community Options Program (CCOP) Advisory Committee with the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Coordinating Committee. This resolution also includes recommendations for the new committee’s membership structure, aimed at streamlining oversight and coordination between these programs.
Infrastructure projects are prominent on the agenda, with the Board evaluating the use of contingency funds to facilitate repairs at the Upper Ash Creek Forest parking lot. Additionally, supervisors will review bids for the demolition of selected buildings located at the former UW campus property. The Board will also address compliance with Wisconsin Statutes, Section 82.08, through a resolution regarding the county’s financial contribution to town highway bridge construction.
The meeting will include a resolution approving a provider to deliver Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a portion of Richland County, reflecting an ongoing focus on public safety. Following this, the Board will take time to recognize the retirement of a dedicated employee from the Health and Human Services department, honoring their years of service to the county.
The Board looks forward to addressing these matters to support the continued operational and service needs of Richland County.
