
Investigation concluded into a traffic accident involving a bicycle and a truck
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department has concluded its investigation into a traffic accident involving a bicycle and a truck that occurred June 2nd at the intersection of County Highway RC and Raymond Lane.
Emergency responders, including the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Richland Center Police, Richland EMS, and UW Med Flight, were dispatched to the scene immediately following the crash. The incident involved a juvenile bicyclist and a truck, traveling eastbound.
According to the investigation report, the juvenile swerved the bicycle into the lane of traffic. Although the driver of the truck attempted to avoid the collision, they were unable to do so. Following the completion of a thorough investigation, authorities confirmed that the driver of the truck will not be ticketed or charged in the case.
The juvenile involved in the accident has since been released from the hospital.
