
Early Morning Crash at Racine Walgreens; Store Remains Open Despite Damage
RACINE, Wis. (WRJN) – Cleanup crews remained at the Walgreens on Memorial Drive early Wednesday after a vehicle crashed through the storefront at around 1 a.m.
Racine police and fire officials responded to 819 N. Memorial Drive following calls of a car going through the front door. Initial reports indicate the vehicle traveled from the front to the rear of the building.
Rescue crews found the driver, the only person in the car, conscious and breathing at the scene. The driver’s condition was not immediately released. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. Store staff and emergency workers continued cleanup efforts into the early morning hours. The extent of the damage to the Walgreens building was not specified. The store did remain open today.
