After 50 years of serving the Baraboo community the Children's Day Center announced they will be closing their doors on Friday November 6th.

According to a social media most from their Facebook Page, " For decades, Children's Day Center has been a place where children have learned, grown, made friends, and been cared for by dedicated teachers. It has been our privilege to serve generations of Baraboo families."

The post continues, " The loss of state childcare stabilization funding has had real consequences for providers like ours. While Wisconsin provided temporary bridge funding, that support ended this summer without a comparable ongoing replacement. Our closure is one example of what happens when the cost of providing quality childcare continues to rise without sustainable funding. As you vote today, we encourage you to consider where candidates stand on affordable childcare, supporting working families, and investing in the community programs that so many people depend on."

At the end of the post they are asking for the community to help with childcare arrangements for those that may be impacted by posting on their page openings with other licensed providers.
