Alvaro Adame Reyna was formally charged in Richland County Circuit Court with eight criminal counts, the charges include attempted first-degree intentional homicide, stalking, and first-degree recklessly endangering safety. The charges stem from an October 18 incident on North Main Street in Richland Center, where law enforcement officers report that Adame Reyna stabbed a female acquaintance multiple times before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The victim was subsequently hospitalized for treatment of two stab wounds.
Judge Lisa McDougal set Adame Reyna's cash bond at $1,000,000 during an initial bail hearing. Strict release conditions were imposed, requiring no contact with the victim, prohibiting the possession or consumption of alcohol and dangerous weapons, and mandating a 24-hour curfew.
At an adjourned court appearance today (November 3), Adame Reyna appeared in custody via video link with a certified Spanish interpreter and defense counsel. The defense waived formal reading and time limits for a preliminary hearing, which was subsequently scheduled for November 17, at 11:00 a.m.
