New Crowley ad slams Tiffany for voting to block the release of the Epstein files while protecting Trump
Democratic nominee for Wisconsin governor David Crowley released a new TV ad against Republican Tom Tiffany for his role in covering up the Epstein files.
Congressman Tiffany voted to block the release of the files tied to dead New York financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Four Republican members of Congress moved to release the files, but not Tiffany. He instead called Epstein’s crimes a distraction, and downplayed rape and abuse of children.
"President Trump clearly has warned [people] about Jeffrey Epstein,” Tiffany said.
He added that "we've seen this story repeatedly" that Trump "was actually one of the people that knew that Jeffrey Epstein was a bad guy."
Trump was referenced more than 38,000 times in the latest release of Epstein files, according to a review by the New York Times of the Justice Department’s February publication of approximately three million pages related to its investigation into the convicted child sex trafficker.
The documents contain references to Trump, his wife, Melania, and their Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago.
Trump’s name appears multiple times in an FBI tip sheet containing allegations of abuse. Among them is an accusation from an unidentified source claiming that Trump forced one of Epstein’s victims, believed to have been 13 or 14 years old at the time, to perform oral sex on him "approximately 35 years ago" in New Jersey.
A censored image that clearly depicts the president has raised questions about the extent to which the Justice Department attempted to obscure Trump’s ties to Epstein. The photograph surfaced in an exchange between Epstein and Steve Bannon, Trump’s chief strategist during his first term. However, the widely circulated image was not, in itself, incriminating.
“Tiffany’s part of Washington culture of corruption, protecting billionaires and pedophiles,” the narrator in Crowley’s ad states.
“She’s 14, the same age as girls raped by Jeffrey Epstein. She’s not old enough to vote against Tom Tiffany, but you can.”
Early voting is underway in Wisconsin and Election Day is Nov. 3.
