Rucksack Revolution Coming to Thrasher Opera House

Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake will welcome Rucksack Revolution for an evening of live music on Friday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available now for $30. Prior to the main performance, the duo will offer a free songwriting workshop from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., giving fans and local musicians an intimate look into their creative process.

Rucksack Revolution brings together two of Wisconsin’s most recognized modern singer-songwriters: Adam Greuel (of the high-energy string band Horseshoes & Hand Grenades) and Sarah Vos (of the folk-inspired Dead Horses). Drawing from broad influences such as Leonard Cohen, Fleetwood Mac, and Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, the pair’s undeniable musical chemistry and 15-year friendship shine through tight harmonies, introspective lyricism, and soaring melodies.

The concert will also spotlight their August 2026 sophomore album, Polish Flats and Watercress. A deeply personal 10-track collection, the new record focuses on the simplicity and beauty of "the song". The album was self-recorded in the duo's respective Wisconsin homes—Vos in her 100-year-old Milwaukee "Polish Flat" and Greuel in his hill-country cabin, "Gnarnia," nestled between two watercress-riddled spring creeks.

Lake St. Consulting sponsors the performance. This event is supported in part by grants from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
