Update from the Baraboo Police Department
On 09/23/26, while conducting an investigation into the armed robbery in the 500 block of South Boulevard, the Baraboo Police Department interviewed a suspect and that individual is now in custody. The Baraboo Police Department will be releasing a more detailed report at a later time.

On Tuesday September 22 at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Baraboo Police Department responded to an armed robbery at a business located in the 500-block of South Blvd. The suspect entered the business, remained inside for a short period of time, approached the counter, displayed a knife, and demanded money from the owner. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene on a bicycle that is described as dark blue or Purple in color with yellow foot pedals.
The suspect is described as a white male, round face and black hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jogging pants. The suspect appeared to have recent facial injuries and blood on his knuckles, consistent with injuries potentially sustained during a physical altercation prior to the robbery.
