A 43-year-old man was killed and a 36-year-old man seriously injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision on State Highway 73 in Green Lake County’s this morning.
Sheriff’s officials say the collision north of County Highway X was reported via a 911 call at 5:10 am. The driver of a northbound minivan was pulseless and not breathing when EMS and deputies arrived.
Bystanders and emergency personnel provided life-saving efforts, but they were unsuccessful and the man died at the scene. The other man was driving a pickup truck. He was taken to Waupun Memorial Hospital with severe injuries. There were no passengers in the two vehicles.
The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted in the investigation by the State Patrol and Marquette County Sheriff’s Office.
