Sarah Hagenow reflects on role in final interview as “Alice in Dairyland”
Sarah Hagenow, the current Wisconsin “Alice in Dairyland” visited the WRCO / WRCE Studios on Wednesday to participate in her FINAL interview as ALICE during the Morning Show with Phil Nee.

Sarah Hagenow of Poynette is Wisconsin’s 78th Alice in Dairyland, selected on May 17, 2025 and beginning her term July 7, 2025. Her term will end July 6th.

WHAT ALICE DOES
As Alice, Hagenow serves as a full‑time communications professional for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP). She travels nearly 50,000 miles per year, conducting interviews, school visits, speeches, and promotional events to highlight Wisconsin’s $116.3 billion agriculture industry.
FUN FACT
Sarah’s sister, Ashley Hagenow, was the 76th Alice in Dairyland, making them the first sisters in program history to both hold the title.
THE FUTURE
The next Alice in Dairyland is Anastasia Poull, who was selected as Wisconsin’s 79th Alice in Dairyland and begins her term July 6, 2026. Anastasia Poull is from Port Washington and brings a deep academic and hands‑on background in agriculture.
