Richland County Board of Supervisors to meet Tuesday
The Richland County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, at the Richland County Courthouse.
The agenda features several critical resolutions focusing on long-term planning, administrative structure, and infrastructure maintenance.
Key highlights of the meeting include the review and approval of the 2027 Capital Improvement Plan, which outlines the county’s upcoming investment priorities. The Board will also consider a reorganization of advisory committees by merging the Children’s Community Options Program (CCOP) with the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Coordinating Committee.
In an administrative move, supervisors will vote on designating the County Highway Commissioner to serve as the backup County Administrator when necessary.
Infrastructure and public safety are also prominent on the agenda. The Board will discuss the use of contingency funds for repairs to the Upper Ash Creek Forest parking lot and review bids for the demolition of buildings at the former UW campus property. Additionally, a resolution regarding the county’s statutory contribution to town highway bridge construction (under Section 82.08) and the approval of a new EMS service provider for portions of the county will be considered. The session will also include a special recognition for a retiring Health and Human Services employee.
