Two Die in Winnebago County Crash

A head-on collision between a motorcycle and car in Winnebago County’s Town of Rushford resulted in the death of the driver and passenger of the motorcycle.

Sheriff’s officials got a report about the crash on County Highway E in the area of Island Road about 3:30 Monday afternoon.

The motorcycle driver was taken to Aurora Hospital in Oshkosh where they died. ThedaStar flew the passenger to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah where the passenger died.

The driver and passengers of the car suffered minor injuries, were treated at the scene and released.

In addition to Sheriff’s deputies, Omro-Rushford firefighters and first responders, Omro Police, Oshkosh Fire Department Ambulance, and ThedaStar responded to the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
