A unique business in Baraboo helps care for people’s memorials long after they’re gone.
Headstones and Blooms is a family-owned, grave-cleaning business. The company celebrated the opening of their new brick-and-mortar shop with a ribbon-cutting hosted by the Baraboo Chamber of Commerce.
The owner, Jodi Beyer, was grateful for the support and showed gratitude during the ceremony as she reaffirmed her business’ mission.
“I really feel that it’s my calling and my passion to help people, and also for our business to bring an awareness of cemeteries and the restoration that needs to be done because those are all pieces of history that we don’t want lost — not only for our families but also for our communities,” she said. “So that is why I started Headstones and Blooms.”
Believe it or not, headstone cleaning has become more popular thanks to social media. People started posting videos on TikTok and YouTube explaining what they do and showing the process, which some commenters say is satisfying to watch. In some videos, they’d even talk about the people who died and shared their families’ stories.
Besides cleaning, Headstones and Blooms also provides custom headstone, floral arrangement and restoration services.
