MADISON, Wis. (WMDX) – Two of the victims of the Abundant Life school shooting still hospitalized have made progress in their recovery.

The shooting December 16 left three dead including the shooter, and six people hurt. Rubi Vergara, the 14-year-old student killed, was laid to rest December 21. Services for Erin West, the teacher and mother of three killed, were on December 23.

Four of the people wounded were released from the hospital the week of the shooting. The remaining two have been in critical condition.

UW Health issued an update, saying they’re now in fair condition. Their families were grateful for continued respect for their privacy, and said thank you to American Family Children’s Hospital.

The fundraiser for Abundant Life Christian School is still open. You can find it here.
