Republican Karen Hurd wins 69th Assembly District

The 69th Assembly District covers Clark County and parts of Marathon, Taylor, and Chippewa counties in west-central Wisconsin.

WISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Incumbent Republican Karen Hurd has been called the winner of the race for the 69th Assembly District in Wisconsin.

The Associated Press made the call Tuesday evening.

The Republican Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered solid Republican with a projected margin of 39 points.

Hurd was first elected to the Assembly in 2022 and also serves as a Village of Fall Creek Trustee. She is a nutritionist and served in the U.S. Army. Hurd is on six committees and is the chair of the Speaker’s Task Force on Childhood Obesity.

Hurd defeated Democratic challenger, former Stanley City Council member Roger Halls, a U.S. Army veteran.

The 69th Assembly District covers Clark County and parts of Marathon, Taylor, and Chippewa counties in west-central Wisconsin.
