Republican Scott Krug wins 72nd Assembly District

The 72nd Assembly District covers parts of Juneau, Wood, and Adams counties in central Wisconsin.

WISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Incumbent Republican Scott Krug has been called the winner of the race for the 72nd Assembly District in Wisconsin.

The Associated Press made the call Tuesday evening.

The Republican Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered very likely Republican with a projected margin of 20 points.

Krug, who was first elected to the Assembly in 2010, is a member of six committees or task forces. He is the Chair of the Committee on Campaigns and Elections. Krug, a realtor, is also a member of the Adams County Board of Supervisors.

Krug defeated Democratic challenger Suzanne Campbell.
