The 28th Senate District covers parts of Waukesha and Racine counties in southeastern Wisconsin.
Jimmie Kaska, Civic Media StaffWISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Incumbent Republican Julian Bradley has been called the winner of the race for the 28th Senate District in Wisconsin.
The Associated Press made the call Tuesday evening.
The Republican Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered solid Republican with a projected margin of 23 points.
Bradley, who was first elected to the Senate in 2020, is on seven committees, chairing two of them. He is a realtor in the greater Milwaukee area. Bradley was drawn into a district with fellow Republican Van Wanggaard, and moved to remain in the 28th.
Bradley serves as the Chair of the Committee on Utilities and Technology and the Legislative Council Study Committee on the Regulation of Artificial Intelligence in Wisconsin. Bradley also ran for Secretary of State in 2014, losing to Doug LaFollette.
Bradley defeated Democratic challenger Megan Lach, a political newcomer who currently works in digital marketing.
The 28th Senate District covers parts of Waukesha and Racine counties in southeastern Wisconsin. The 82nd, 83rd, and 84th Assembly Districts are in the 28th Senate District.
